Aerial Yoga Classes
Aerial Yoga involves working with silks attached to the ceiling to build core strength, improve stability, balance and flexibility. Basic knowledge of Yoga is highly recommended before attending an Aerial class.
Jessi Rae Beukmann started our Aerial program. Read on as she describes what Aerial Yoga means to her:
"My aerial yoga practice significantly improved my strength, stability, and flexibility. As a result, I noticed a huge difference in my regular yoga practice. I soon began to notice that certain postures that were once very challenging for me were getting easier as I progressed. I saw myself achieving goals that I struggled with all these years in my regular yoga practice. And now as an instructor I see the same goals being achieved by my students. Teaching Aerial Yoga and seeing the growth and progression in my students as well as myself has been a life changing experience. I couldn't be happier to share this gift of Aerial Yoga with all of those that have a desire to learn and grow with me."
Our Aerial classes are "All Levels," which means that we welcome new and seasoned Aerial Yogis.

Level 1 This introductory level covers the basics and fundamentals of yoga and is also applicable to our restorative and therapeutic classes. You will learn the process of proper alignment in the poses, breathing techniques, and the use of props in your practice to build confidence in your yoga postures. These classes are designed for students with no experience as well as the seasoned practitioner wanting a refresher.
Level 1 and up These more challenging classes continue to build on poses that are the fundamentals of yoga requiring a bit more strength, flexibility, and balance. These classes assume some yoga knowledge and experience. They continue to show modifications and use of props ensuring more difficult postures and sequences are practiced safely and effectively.
Level 2 Building on the foundation of proper alignment, poses are linked together with the breath while building strength, stamina and flexibility. Classes generally have a flow and rhythm to encourage the evolution of one’s practice as moving meditation. They are more vigorous and challenging to help engender mind/body vitality. Level 2 classes start to introduce more advanced poses to help take your practice to a new level.
Level 2 and up These classes assume that students are familiar with intermediate yoga postures and are designed to enhance an intermediate practice. Poses may be held longer, and include exploration of advanced poses that are physically demanding and incorporate challenging sequencing and variations. Classes are designed to push your practice towards learning more difficult poses and or test your stamina. The pace of these classes is generally faster.
Level 3 For experienced yogis that need no demonstration, these classes will contain mostly advanced poses and have a vigorous pace. Take these classes if you have sufficient experience that includes serious yoga study with an excellent degree of yoga knowledge, stamina and flexibility. Level 3 classes are great for self-directed students looking for a high degree of difficulty.
