What is Arcus? Created by Trent McEntire of McEntire Pilates, Arcus is a brilliant addition to the traditional equipment used in classical and contemporary Pilates. It may appear to be a replacement for the straight roll down bar, but it is really so much more. Arcus allows the body to move, requiring less repetitious coaching by an instructor and more intuitive movement on the part of the client. We began using Arcus at Tensile Strength Studio in 2014. Jo Ann brought 2 Arcus home from a conference and immediately began using them with her private and duet clientele. The clients were so impressed and enamored with the Arcus that they gifted the studio 4 more to be used in group classes. The straight bar has been “retired” and Arcus is now the norm for all sessions.
