Pilates is a form of body conditioning that focuses on strengthening the core. The regimen encompasses more than 500 exercises that simultaneously stretch and strengthen muscles. This body of movement relies on the principle that before working the peripheral parts of the body, the core needs to be strong and stable.
The focus in Pilates is on the deepest abdominal musculature, working the rest of the body as it radiates from this central core. Consistent sessions on the apparatus help clients develop balance and stabilization within their core. This leads to improved strength, flexibility, stamina and function. As the Pilates student continues his/her study, improvements in overall health and wellness become apparent.
Tensile Strength Studio offers Pilates training on the Apparatus for individuals and small groups.
